I was playing with my light circuit recently
That looks like the positive feed the interior light
There will be a brown and purple I think going to each of the door switches
The switch on the doors make the circuit to earth / the body of the vehicle
The wires you show are routed up the drivers side pillar I think
It is separate from the main loom
The the purple/ brown wire returns from the light and there is a junction connector to the right of the speedo and from there it spilts off to both door switches

The purple black wire in my photo is from the main loom ends behind the dash.

The separate purple/brown (interior light and switch) wire doesn't come together with main LOOM ???

I have a 2 core cable in mine with purple and black cables running up the drivers pillar to the light ( + & - ) I suspect that this connects the the one you have in your hand and is the feed from the main loom
A further brown/purple comes from the light to the door switches

If it should be part of the loom, they have to send it.

That doesn’t sound very helpful from ESM and I’m very surprised that if the looms they supply do not contain this wiring that it’s the first time they have heard about it
Surely ESM have access to a vehicle to check the dimensions ?

The interior light wiring is not considered to be part of the loom.
Neither is the wiring to the headlamps - or the side or flasher lamps come to that

Exactly, which is why my SII, having been fitted with a latter loom (to enable the 1st gen flashing brake lights instead of trafficators), changes colours on changing from the main loom to the front indicators wiring.

the headlamp comes with wire to connect with the loom
the flasher comes with wire to connect with the loom
but interior light doesn't come with loom or the light itself..

meaning to say,, there is no way buy a new loom for interior??

as i can see the diagram from various morris, all the carcomes with the this diagram...

I have never purchased a loom for a classic car but I have fitted, made and been involved in the design of many automotive type looms
I would expect any wiring loom for a particular model to contain all the wiring which doesn’t come with each item/ accessory it is servicing
At the very least you would expect a supplier of looms to produce any secondary loom that does not come with the primary loom as a separate item you can buy and also make it clear that this required
This is common sense
I’m sure ESM would take the same view and will be interested in their response
