alloy finishes

Any ideas what to use to protect gearbox and the diff alloy casing. Id rather not paint them unless thats wrong. As always any advice gratefully recieved. :o

I use zinc weld though paint.. looks great.

It stops the aluminium oxidising.

This U pol one is very good. And in my opinion the best for what it was intended for.

Or could use matt lacquer???.

Or leave O-natural 😉

But if you’re looking for a OEM concourse look ....the Gearbox should be bolted to the engine ....then spray engine with some of the engine components ( l can list ) now the over spray will fall on the gearbox 👍.

Then BMC turned the engine Upsidedown to dry, I have some pictures somewhere where the Paint runs on the sump are upside down.....😉
