It's not too bad. I don't think we picked the best location for that shot though, what with all the pedestrians wandering across the middle of the turning circle, and the big blue coach in the background.
I'm planning on posting one video a day from the AIR. Once I've run out of stuff I can get away with posting online (;)) I will probably go back and do the same with the videos I took on the LEO 2008. I'm also going to do writeups for both rallies. In hindsight it would have been much better if I had done my LEO writeup before I went on the AIR because I've already forgotten so much of it. I was so busy preparing both cars though that I couldn't afford to take a day out to work on it...

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
On the second day of the AIR, we drove through these rock tunnels on the N71 between Glengarriff and Kenmare, on the Beara Peninsula. The music playing on the car stereo is a recording of a live session that Chris and I went to at the Sin E pub in Cork the previous night. We think it might have been a band called The Polskadots. I think Wibble was very glad we made the recording and were able to play it back in the car for her because she wanted to go to the session in person but really needed to rest instead.
On the second day of the Around Ireland Rally, we stumbled across the Inch Strand on the way to our accommodation on the end of the Dingle Peninsula. It's a lovely place with great views in all directions. Wibble wandered off along the beach staring thoughtfully out to sea, Chris sat down and meditated for a while, and I clambered over the sand dunes to see what was on the other side (answer: more sea and mountains!).
stunning video - it really was the most beautiful day in the most beautiful place.
It's interesting to be reminded how relaxed we all three were about pottering off on our own separate missions, having been whooping it up for ages in the car
After arriving at Dun Chaoin Youth Hostel on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula in southwest Ireland we decided to take a walk down to the sea. Two puppies (both with collars, so I don't think they were strays) ran up to us and followed us around until we got back to the hostel again. About five minutes walk away we found a lovely little bay at the mouth of a small river. The sun was just starting to set and had turned a gorgeous shade of orange (my video camera didn't really capture it very well - hopefully Chris's still camera did better).
At the start of the third day of the Around Ireland Rally, we crossed over the mountain range in the middle of the Dingle Peninsula via the R560, also known as Conor Pass. It's very scenic, and some of it is a single track road with passing-places. This video was recorded at a viewpoint right after the most interesting part of the road. The car in front of us didn't understand how to use passing places and just kept on driving forwards really slowly, forcing the cars coming the other way to drive off the road and under a waterfall!
The couple travelling in the other car on the AIR had already done the pass the previous day on their way to Dingle, and they said they didn't want to do it again so went by a different (less scenic) way and met up with us on the other side. Personally I would have jumped at the chance to turn around and do it again in the opposite direction!
