just an update the welder has been working on some stuff off his own lately, but hes back to day, and hes been out with the grinder again,[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]we thought the boxing panels were ok as they had been painted in hammerite, but they had been fiberglassed & filled then painted, the front spring hanger looked good to, until a sustained hammer attack by stevie, i think these bodges happened between this being an old banger and dare i say becoming a classic

Good to see some more progress, but make sure the door is still closing ok as there is an awful lot of sill cut out there. I would suggest closing the door and carefully placing a bottle type jack under the crossmember area to make sure it doesnt start to sag in the middle and definately dont move it around on its wheels.

The health and safety bloke just fainted :) .

When a Minor is on it's balance point you can keep it there with one finger so there is very little pressure at all on the props.

think your right david every time we hammer at it, some part its rotten, i bought two cross member ends but when i started to cut the cross member the bottom of it fell off, it was patched up with filler & underseal, you get to a point when you think is it really worth it, standing there gutted because youve cut out & disguarded 35% off the car you bought, because you thought it was a" good one"

Dont worry you will be minoring again before too long!

looking good michael, wish i was making as much progress with mine, but i'm still cutting out rotten bits :( everything from the floor pan out on the passenger side is just a jumble of rusted patches welded over more rusted patches. its so bad i can't even recognise some of the parts i need from ESM. what i need is a list of the components in that area???

once this was plated that was the drivers side finnished, so we turned it run & took off the rear wing & yes its as rotten as the first side[frame]Image[/frame]
the front wing has been filled in the past & is starting to bubble again so i managed to get a good second hand one, so the front wing came off i was expecting the inner wing to be rotten but no, its ok, well i havent went over it with a mini grinder Yet[frame]Image[/frame]
