:D Hi everyone, just a quick question for a friend. This there an easier way to replace the window felt either side of the window on the back door of a four door. Even with the windo down as far is it will go its difficult.

Also an arguement we've been having is what way the back inside door handles in a four door go, should they be horizontal or verticle? He does this just to wind me up and be irritating!!!!!

Thanks. 8)

The inside door handles on Phoebe are diagonal, pointing from the screw towards the seat base.

Are the the horizontal felts that fit into the door, or the vertical ones that fit in the channel ?

I assume it's the horizontal weather strips.
I can't remember if the rear door has a lower window stop. If it does, you might have to remove that to lower the glass completely. Otherwise, you might have to unbolt the window regulator to let the glass come down further.
99% of the time, they are possible to fit with the window in its normal lowered position.

Since you say 'either side' I assume that you mean the vertical felts in which case it should be as easy as it is on the front windows. With the window down
it is possible to start easing the new felt down the glass, if you get say six inches down then raise the window without letting the felt come up again and
then hold a sharpish tool against the glass and the felt and then lower the
window again it should take some more of the felt down with it. You continue
in this way until, usually, the last few inches refuse to go down in which case
you need to remove the door card and get hold of the bottom of the felt and
pull it down with some thin nosed pliers.
