No Morris Minors today but loads of GNs -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GN_(car) and one pre war Mercedes went past the shop. It was nice to hear the big, long stroke twins "Banging" away

Spotted a red pick up in Prestwood Sat and Sun, sounded rather nice and very non standard.

Boss 429 mustangs were only built in 1969 and 1970.
if that's a 1967 car, its not a real 429.

Thanks for posting the photos of some fine vehicles, amongst them I spotted this interesting carb setup, it has a MMOC sticker on the windscreen. Hope you don't mind me copying and cropping it....

This VW had pretend white wall tyres, with a separate disc around the rim. He'd only had the car a couple of months and was advised by the previous owner to smear a bit of grease behind the disc every month...

This chap with the 1951 MM convertible was fascinating to talk to . He and the car featured in a Minors Monthly decades ago, when he was far more youthful looking. That was when he first brought the car and it had been highly modified, power-train wise, such that it would do something ridiculous like 100+mph without changing gear! But he's restored it to near original since he got it.
When I first saw the car, it had an explanation board about a pre-war Morris 8, hence why we got talking. seems he'd put the board up the wrong way around, the other car was at home!
Looking at the lights layout, I'm guessing the car was possibly built in the latter part of 1950 as a bit of a hybrid, since it is a lowlight, but hasn't got spacer bit in the bumper.

Thanks Paul, I did a little search on here and it has a Maestro engine fitted, also was mentioned somewhere that the long inlet manifold is supposed to increase torque.

Did the Montego have the same setup?
