Just to let you know that there has been an amendment with regards to the following:
If you're unable to make it on 2 October, there may still be places available on one of the National Trust's midweek openings for MMOC members this autumn. Please contact the Trust direct.
Group bookings may be available but please enquire via your local branch - do not contact the National Trust direct as stated.

Thank you

More than 70 cars booked in now. Last chance Wednesday (28th Sept) folks.

Sorry, it appears this has caused some confusion. What I mean by booking is letting me know that you are coming, as stated in MM Hope this clarifies the situation.

Please arrange another Saturday visit )perhaps in the Spring?) so that those of us with other long-standing commitments can come along as well. Thanks.

It is a suggestion to be discussed at branch AGM. Please add to the agenda

With respect Mike, would it not have been better to send this AGM suggestion to the branch secretary before posting on this site?

Please address any further comments/suggestions concerning this directly to me by email. I feel that this open site is not appropriate for discussing un-discussed branch business.

To clarify what Mike has said, due to the number of cars etc, it will not be possible to take photographs of everyones car in front of the house as they arrive. However Mike will be organising the photographing of the cars as they leave. Hope this helps.

That's it folks, we now have more than 80 cars registered with us as requested in Minor Matters.

IMPORTANT

Due to the high number of cars registered for this event, we would ask that no one arrives before 11.00 am. The gates will not be opened until then, and the narrow road outside Nuffield Place is unsuitable for the queuing of such a large number of vehicles prior to entry.

Great pictures Judge, but quite small, in this age of broadband it wouldn't hurt to double or treble them.

I'd just like to thank Bill and anyone else who was involved with organising yesterday it was a fantastic day and really glad we made the long journey down there,(400 miles round trip) I was surprised that the committee organised another meeting on the same day to do with concourse at a different venue and was shocked more committee didn't turn up as in my opinion this was one of the last opportunities to get so close to Lord Nuffields personel and private belongings and view his magnificent home.
All four of us from West Yorkshire really really enjoyed it and met some lovely like minded people especially phil and lou. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'll just point out here that the 'other meeting' was the Branch and Register Liaison Meeting which was organised long before the Nuffield Place Visit. Andrew Stone, a member of the Executive Committee missed the liaison meeting in order to attend the Nuffield Place visit and present a cheque on behalf of the MMOC.

To clarify, the visit to Nuffield Place was being organised by myself as a purely Oxon & Berks Branch event, and the date had been arranged for some time. Subsequently I received a telephone call on behalf of the National Committee asking if I could extend this to include all MMOC members, to which I naturally agreed. Unfortunately neither dates could be changed at this stage.

Thank you to everyone for the very positive feedback Lesley and I have received for this event, it really is very much appreciated. We are pleased that everyone enjoyed the day.

The total amount raised for the appeal was £660, being £400 raised initially by the MMOC, and £260 raised during this years MOT-UK. Richard Henderson, the National Trust's General Manager for Oxfordshire to whom the cheque was presented, thanked all members of the MMOC for their generosity.
