Re: Footman James Classic Motor Show
hi, i go most years but this year i can only go on the friday but after checking the ticket office i was surprised at the cost,am i being tight or what. The ticket is £23.50 plus £1.00 admin plus 10p per minute (min 5 minutes) to ring up in advance plus train fare or whatever transport you use and no concessions for club members or senior citizens( of which i am one)so i think i may give it a miss this year.I would be interested in other opinions.just letting off steam, thanks, max

Re: Footman James Classic Motor Show
Hi Max. I am with you on this one. I have been interested in this event for some years but only managed to get there two years ago. We had a car on the MMOC stand and managed to stay local. It only cost me the price of petrol to and from there + food & drinks etc. After spending all weekend there I felt it would not be worth the price for a one day pass as theres loads of things to do there. This year I have been asked to show my car on the police car stand but the cost of hotel for the weekend is cheaper than using public transport for two days. If I had not got a spot on the stand it would be too expensive for me to go.

Personally I can't explain how bad an idea that would be, for so many reasons... sorry.max wrote:no concessions for senior citizens
