celulose paint mixers in the north

Post by chilly »

Can anybody recommend someone who can supply celly mixed to a supplied sample (preferably in the north of england)?
I'm pretty sure my van is a non standard green so I need some paint mixing to do touch ups. I only need a litre.

If its non standard how are they going to mix it :-? You need to get the car to them and ask for the old colour chips and get it as near as YOU can, If you are in the north east the only place I know that still has the old chips is Davies Paints at Cannon park M'bro

Quite a few companies will mix paint to match a sample from the car eg glovebox lid - you don't need to provide them with the whole car.

Here's a selection found via a google search:

Chilly - you say that you are pretty certain that your van is a non standard green but it might not be, so worth posting a photo up on here to see if someone can confirm whether it is a standard colour or not.

Some Halfords will mix spray cans for you -not inexpensive - but may be a way of testing out various colours to get a first match.

unless its had a rebuild its highly unlikely that the inside has been resprayed as well,so glove box lid (if it has one) may not be a match to the outside.
