Postponed- 5th November Footman James Open Day
At the Branch Liaison Meeting in Lutterworth recently, Dave Youngs from Footman James announced an 'Open Day' at their offices in Cradley Heath (wherever the hell that is ). It's on November 5th (Tuesday) so not entirely sure of the arrangements yet - whether it be a 'day' thing or a late afternoon/evening affair, hopefully Dave will post soon and give us some details. I'll be there (but don't let that put you off ) with my Traveller, in fact I've had to recover it from ASeriesSpares who had it for its winter work programme to go!
Must be pretty much the last chance to get together this year, so drag your cars out from their winter naps and come down for a cuppa and a gas. Dave told us that there'd be opportunities for the staff to look over the assembled cars so we can chat with them and assure them that we're not all nutters, so let's try and get a decent number of us there eh?

Re: DATE FOR YOUR CALENDER - 5th November Footman James Open Day
Thanks Mike
What do you mean you don't know where Cradley Heath is??? Such a nice leafy suburb south of Birmingham
I'm hoping to organise a number of staff training sessions around this day and bring the staff out in small groups to come and meet some Minor owners, see the cars 'up close and personal' and get into the Moggy spirit. We've had great success with taking staff up to the MMOC Derby offices to learn about Minors and it would be great to extend this to all our employees.
The original idea is that this would be a daytime thing....9.30am kick off. If anyone wants to make an evening of it then i'm sure that, between us, we can put a plan together
As Mike says this will also be an opportunity to have a last get together before the winter sets in. I'll lay on some catering of some sort and section off an area of the car park.
I'd be grateful of some idea of numbers so that I can plan catering/parking etc so if you're able to make it then please either comment or PM me!

Being local, I could show my face. Though not during the day particularly. I have this thing called a job

Due to errrr 'circumstances beyond our control' we've decided to postpone this event until Spring/Summer 2014.
I've replied to those that have PM'd me and let them know and i'll post when we've reorganised a future date

This is a shame, I was trying to rally the troops!
Means I can probably make it next year though. An event just isn't the same without a nutter in an argyle jumper is it?
