what are you doing this weekend?
OK folks. This could become a good new thread - or it might not! Here is my choice for a productive weekend:
Fit rear wing piping and secure wings (should I be piercing holes in the piping for the wing bolts or cutting slots?)
Fit gearbox tunnel (with body caulking or would plumbers mait do I wonder?)
Adjust brakes (too much pedal travel at the moment)
Fix indicators because they're not working at all (almost everything else works fine now though so progress is slowly being made)
Correctly torque tie rod nuts and eyebolt nuts (should be a 5-10 minute job. I hope)
Fit front, rear and one side windscreen (other one already fitted)
Another coat of paint and schutz entire underside. (really not sure I fancy lying on my back this weekend)
That's what I'm doing (and I make no guarantee of achieving any of it - the wife has plans too you know),
Whatever you are doing this weekend, have a great one!

Disassemble the doors on the convertible, ring up the sprayer and try and get it booked in before christmas!

Hi Folks
i'm welding a new drivers side floor into my pickup and having a look at the brake lights on my mgb I think the pressure switch is knackered so im going to see if I can mount a mechanical switch near the pedal

Re: what are you doing this weekend?
Recovering the back seats on my traveller, fitting new bonnet hinges and the refitting the bonnet.
At least that's what I'm aiming for.

Re: what are you doing this weekend?
The very first job is to light the woodbuner and get the workshop warm to work in.!!!
Free timber from local builders, fencing contractors, old trees and plenty of pallets from builders merchants.
[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]
This is the latest project a 1972 Traveller.
She needed the front floors repaired properly, now finished. (patch welded by previous owner).
Paper on glass to protect against welding and grinding sparks.
[frame][/frame]
I will remove all traces of paint from the inside edges of these doors which are in amazing rust free condition, ready for priming..
The hinges will be beadblasted along with other small items.
[frame][/frame]
The timberwork was replaced a few years ago, along with associated metalwork etc.
This saves a lot of time, plus the vehicle will look a peach when resprayed.
The timberwork will be stripped back to a bare finish, due to its complexity plenty of hand sanding and refinishing involved .
But very well worth all the hard work when the timber is looking its very best.

Then after lunch I will be working on the front of the car.
I have just popped in for a coffee and piece of home baked cake. Must get on now.

Re: what are you doing this weekend?
Mike that looks like a nice cosy but roomy workshop you have there. Perfect winter project location, can I come in and warm my hands?
