Hi all, well today I replaced a hose clip and wanted to check for leaks.the car started first time and I let it run for about 5 mins.the car then suddenly died completely and the electrics are dead.i tried a fully charged battery and the same completely no power at all .its running a v8 Daimler engine and I checked two fuses which are just above the air filter on the left of the picture and were ok ,any ideas please?

It's such a non standard car - we have no idea what the wiring arrangements are. I will say - the drive belt to the alternator looks hopelessly slack - but has nothing to do with this problem, assuming the 'second' battery had a good charge in it. All you can do is chase the power from battery to starter solenoid - then on to the ignition switch and the ignition coil... And check all earth straps again starting at the battery....
