All Major suppiers for Front Brake Cylinders have advise me they no longer supply wheel cylinders for a MM and suggest that one purches a modification to the later type Minor. Can anybody advise me who can machine my cylinders and fit new rubbers and piston for a reasonable price.

Unless you are very strict on originallity for your car, such as a concours entrant etc, then just fit later Series 2 or early (948cc) 7" Minor 1000 backplates to your existing suspension arm and you can run later brakes with the same suspension and hubs/drums and therefore wheels.
Only those looking underneath may notice.
You will need to change both flexible hoses too as the thread is different

The cylinders are easy to clean-up. A finger with fine emery wrapped around it is a suitable tool!
To get the cylinder out I use a grease gun and an adaptor made from a bolt with a hole right through and a grease nipple threaded into the head end. I don't remember the thread size but probably UNF. Replace the rubbers of course which are available.
best of luck

Google brake cylinder re-sleeve. There are some out there that can bore out the old cylinder and re-line them back to original size and I think they can use stainless steel. I have heard of it but don't know who does it.

Have you tried getting in touch with Bryan Gostling to see if there are any available from club spares?

The costs of my two o/s wheel cylinders was in the region of £90. I have two spare wheel cylinders these I cleaned up and fitted new rubbers from Brian. I now should be ok for the for the few years.
