My traveller leaks water in on the left hand side into the passenger rear footwell and I have traced it as running along the bottom window sliding channel. I have checked the drain holes are not blocked and wonder if anybody has experienced this problem please?
It is as though the chanel is acting as a guttering and water runs towards the b post and then into the car.

Yes, I know what you mean.

There is a cavity in the B post wood at the end of the channel, where water can track into the car, the advice is generally to block it up and force the water to go through the drain holes in the waist rails. I think there is a similar cavity in the rear post as well.
My Traveller once got a puddle in the footwell, and I am sure that was where it came from.

I cured mine by not going out in the rain with it

Thats exactly what is happening Phil, I did wonder if it was worth fitting a seal to the b post where the window slides shut aswell maybe.

I know this will upset the purists, but... I used my Traveller for 40 years and was fed up with chasing side window leaks so about 15 years ago I had a pair of one piece windows made and now I have perfectly sealed windows with no leaking. I do not miss the sliding widows as they were always sticking so I never used them.

Here is another little trick you can do that keeps a lot of excess water out of the rear part of the sliding window channels.

Yep it did work to a degree but my drive is quite steep and some water still found it's way into the car between the sliding glass. I was going to look at ways of sealing the gap up but never got round to it before the car came off the road for resto. There is the remnants of a seal in there but to worn to do any good.
I found it awkward to drill the holes in the glass runners to allow any water to flow through to the drain holes in the waist rail as I used the flexible type of runner, maybe these has become blocked and made the situation worse.

Ive just ordered the seal trim from Pankys original link as I like the look of that so hopefully it will fit easy enough.

Seal arrived and fitted today (thanks Panky) the inside lip of the seal slots between the wooden frame and the slide felt.
Ive water tested and no leaks so Im really pleased
