A Nation Mourns.

Post by Maurice_Minor »

It has been revealed that heartless telly bosses at "We Buy Any Car" have booted self proclaimed National Treasure, Phillip Schofield off our screens. The megastar & his buxom sidekick had been caught on cam sneaking to the front of the queue of mourners filing past our late Queen's lying in state.
A vigil has been planned by distraught fans of the disgraced superstar. their leader, Mr P Blofield declared, "I have had at least 10 people saying they will join my candle lit vigil outside BBC TV centre, providing the weather remains dry!"

If the forum supported GIF files I'd post a Tumbleweed rolling past....
I won't miss him, he's too full of his own self importance.

We could off topic with this one (in the off topic category appropriately enough) and see everyone's amusing gifs...

To quote another(far better IMO) TV star, Windsor Davies in Battery Sergeant-Major Williams mode: "Oh dear, how sad, never mind............"

Are these chimps singing 'Happy days are here again.......' in response to the above announcement?
From the days when human and animal abuse were ok
Or alternatively: From the days when we were allowed to have a sense of humour and express it.........
Best wishes,
Mike.
1954 Series 2: 4 door: "Sally" -- Back on the ground with (slave) wheels and waiting to be resprayed......
1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)

Our commissars of Political Correctness have deemed all humour (Unless sanctioned by the authorities) to be potentially offensive, so it is banned. Here is a brief guide on the topic & remember, "EVERYTHING IS OFFENSIVE!"

Some of the comments are hilarious, eg

"The video opens with Ryan walking down a flight of stairs holding a book! WHAT ABOUT ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAN'T WALK DOWN STAIRS LET ALONE HOLD A BOOK AT THE SAME TIME!"

The question is how long will it be before Schofield & Holly are quietly erased from our screens? Remember when that pair of arch rotters, Jonathan Ross & Russell Brand phoned poor Manuel from Fawlty Towers & made lewd insinuations about his daughter? What the pair of idiots didn't realise, was that to the British public, bullying actor Andrew Sachs, was bullying national treasure Manuel & that role was reserved exclusively for Basil Fawlty who always got his comeuppance.
Ross & Brand got theirs, as will Schofield & his sidekick.
