Have unfortunately just made the discovery that the Grex sandwich plate I have doesn't fit the above engine as it's M20 and 3/4 unf.
In my defence it seemed a good buy before buying the engine!
Is there a specific plate I can buy and what is the thread of the central oil feed - it fits a Borg and beck cannister oil filter BFO 4073.
Is it possible just to buy a new central feed and use the Grex item or do I need a dedicated item? If so could you point me in the right directions.
The oil feed threaded tube appears to measure 15.6mm across the external threads and the internal hole in the Grex plate is 24mm in diameter. The hoses have AN10 fittings.
Thank you

The central thread in the block is 5/8" x 18 TPI UNF.
The unions in the MOCOL sandwich plate are 1/2" BSP.
None of the fittings are metric. There is little room with the Marina engine for a sandwich plate. You may be better to have a take-off plate as per the photo above to a remote oil filter, preferably with a MOCOL oil thermostat fitted between the take-off plate and filter that directs overheated oil to the oil cooler and then back through the oil filter to the block.
Below is a MOCOL sandwich plate with 1/2" BSP threads which is suitable for the 'A' Series. You will need the sandwich plate bolt which has both 5/8" UNF (or 3/4" x 16 TPI UNF) male and 5/8" UNF female threads which is available from the likes of Merlin Motorsport or 'e' bay.
It should be noted that the sandwich plate bolt may need to be shortened dependent upon the sandwich plate used.
Below - shortening the sandwich plate bolt to suit the sandwich plate. The threaded adapter that goes into the block is relatively short and can easily be over screwed into the block. To make sure that the number of threads on the adapter and the block are the same I use Loctite thread lock to secure the adapter, leaving it awhile to cure before fitting the sandwich plate.

Thanks Phil for such a comprehensive reply. Once I got the car running with standard filter I'll source parts as suggested.
Is there a connecting fitting available from AN10 braided hose to Mocal components?

I suspect that there are.
If I find a link, I will post on here.

Here is one adapter

There are others on 'e' bay dependent upon the type of pipe ends you have.
