Just a quick one please?
Is there any difference between backplates fitted to 948 engines with smooth case boxes, and 1098 with ribbed case boxes please?
Engine backplate differences?

Re: Engine backplate differences?
As I found out some time ago, the answer is yes, and it depends on the gearbox.
I still have to sort mine out as it causes problem with the clutch, which I'm frequently adjusting...

Basically the earlier gearbox requires a thin plate with a curved edge, while the ribbed box required one that looks like armoured plating!
