Morris on the radio waves
Another of my hobbies, I only have two, is amateur radio.
I am a licensed amateur radio operator, communicating worldwide with others, around 5 million souls at the last count, by microphone and the ancient art of morse code, or cw (carrier wave) as it is known in radio circles.
Given that peculiarity, I will be running a special event callsign in March to commemorate 75 years of the Morris Minor.
The callsign allocated by ofcom is GB75MM.
This link https://www.qrz.com/db/GB75MM
takes you to a qrz page showing some detail that other amateurs have access to, if any of you have interesting photos of your vehicles do send me them by email to rbaker41@msn.com and I will try and get them on the page.
I believe I can only fit around half a dozen on the qrz page however.
There are to my knowledge only two amateur operators with Minors, myself and a newly acquired friend in Scotland, but if there are any others do please make contact.
Thanks.

Re: Morris on the radio waves
I always fancied getting into ham radio until i found out that a morse code exam was required
Re: Morris on the radio waves
Morse code isn't part of the exam any more, not even for the advanced licence.
Find a local amateur radio club and pop in, ask about getting licenced. The foundation licence is very easy and the intermediate is not too difficult, the exam is multi choice and you have to do a relatively simple radio project as part of the course. All very achievable.
