Dear Friends,
Does anyone remember these wiper delay after market units. 2 - 20 seconds
I had one in the early 1980's and found it brilliant.
I have just found one again (new old stock from a garage sale) but it has no instructions.
I just wonder if anyone out there may have fitted one and by wondrous change still have the instructions and would be willing to copy them and let me see it please.
Mine has five wires and is designed to fit negative earth two speed wiper systems.
Black, White, Yellow, Blue and Red wires.
I hope this may jog a memory somewhere. My Thanks in advance.
Stephen.

Re: Wiper Delay
It’s in America, but including instructions, a bit cheeky but you could ask if he would send a copy to you.

Re: Wiper Delay
Good find by Les.
I think that the image tells you all you need to know.
Red 12v positive
Black earth
Green not used
White and blue connected in parallel across the wiper switch.
I suspect that the yellow replaced the green to avoid confusion with all the other green wires.
I recommend testing with a multimeter before hard wiring it - it should be easy to check which are the common and normally closed wires..
Remember that the wiper switch is on the earth return, not the feed. The delay timer will energise the relay and complete the circuit for a moment, then return to normal; but by that time, the self-park switch on the motor will have taken over. The relay is mimicking you briefly flicking the wiper switch on and off.
