Series 2 front seats

I have recently bought a 1955 Series 2 ; the interior is original and in quite good if grubby condition.
There is a spit in the top face of the passenger seat back; I have found a coach trimmer who will repair this for me.
I would like to remove the seat back rather than the whole seat.
The seat back appears to be secured to the frame by approximately triangular brackets with 2 cross headed bolts and nuts at the rear; If I remove these (both sides) will this release the seat back?
Alternatively, how do I remove the seat back or is this not possible?
