'An Uttlesford Branch member has contacted me to say that she has found four Morris Minor Tyres in her loft. She has. no idea when Ken, her late husband put them up there.

The age is not known but they have been stored in a dark environmnt and by the looks of them there is no cracking on the walls and the tread looks decent.

They are Avon Crossply tyres 520-14 and if nothing else would look great on a Minor which is seeking originality for shows etc as they stand a good inch taller than radials and really fill the wheel arches, particularly on the Series II or earlier cars with the high cut rear arches.

As she has sold Verity, her lovely Traveller, at this stage I am, on her behalf looking for offers on these before advertising them more widely.’

Hi..I've just joined the club..having bought my 67 2dr saloon (last minor I had was 40 yrs ago!)..my tyres have good tread, but 2 of the walls are cracked and I would like to replace them..closest I can find are blockley radials, but I would have to replace all tyres (and spare)..these Avon tyres would be perfect..do you have a price for the 4?..I'm in east London and can collect (in my motability, computerised, tin can!)..thanks Gilles..(committed technophobe)
