I think a clean up of the contacts on my voltage reg is in order as I have the following:
1. Switch ignition on: ignition light on.
2. Start car & rev engine: ignition light still on.
3. Remove reg cover and flick RHS contact: ignition light goes off.
4. Turn engine off, then turn ignition back on: ignition light on.
5. Start car: ignition light goes out.
Leave car for a week: ignition light problem returns!
So, maybe a clean up of the contacts? Any ideas folks?

REG BOX
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU CLEAN THE CONTACTS WITH!
I USE A PIECE OF WHITE THIN CARD (POST CARD) & ONE WIPE ONLY
WHAT MIGHT BE OCCURING IS THE CONTACTS ARE JUST "MAKING"
& HENCE THE FAULT BEING INTERMITTENT?
U CAN "TWEEK THE CONTACTS, BUT BE VERY CAREFUL..
