Re: I need some answers!
It needs some welding done to it anyway because there is a big rusty hole, I think cause partially by a battery short/leak, so I might as well just cover both holes in one go.

Re: I need some answers!
Brilliant, thanks for clearing all that up. I will try to get a picture of the holes in the front panel because I really can't explain them. simmitc, I had other questions to ask but I can't remember them, hopefully it will come to me tomorrow when I'm working on the car but essentially I was exagge...

I need some answers!
Hello everyone I have lots of questions regarding quite a few different aspects of a 1957 Traveller, hence why I have put this topic into the "Other" section, rather than creating another 10 topics in other places. Anyway I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with a few thi...

Re: Fly cuter tool?
Thanks bmcecosse, that cleared a few things up for me, I don't think I will be mounting it to the lathe mind. As MarkyB says that sounds very "exciting" a bit too exciting for me.

Re: Fly cuter tool?
I should be able to do it in one pass but as Trickydicky says I will need a rather large tool, I just hoped someone may have done it themselves and had a tool handy. I may just have to rig one up myself using a cutting tool from a lathe, much like this one but large enough to pass over the whole hea...

Re: Fly cuter tool?
Because I'm doing it at college, hence why I have the milling machine and not the tool. They have a grinder but the stroke length is not enough to do in one pass and I'm not too keen on going over twice.

Fly cuter tool?
This is a long shot but, are there any millers on here in North East England who happen to have a fly cutter I could borrow to skim an A-series cylinder head?

Re: My Ongoing Traveller restoration ?
Unfortunately we have gone ahead with this. There is nothing left but the panels we put in and a couple of bits from the bulkhead and dash. Everything else was rotten through, in all honesty I'm surprised it was still standing when we got it after seeing how rused it all was. We have bought a new on...

Re: My Ongoing Traveller restoration ?
I think its beyond anyone to repair it to be honest especially once we take off the bits we have put on to use as donor parts, the only things that will be left are the bulkhead and the roof, everything else is just past it. Believe me if it could be saved i would save it.
