Re: (another) Cigarette Lighter

agreed, but if you leave your phone on charge plugged in, or your ipod... or i think she was talking about leaving a portable docking station plugged in, which youd probably leave connected, then i recommend having it on ignition, afterall its no trouble to turn the ignition on to inflate an airbed!

Re: (another) Cigarette Lighter

press the black against a bare bit of metal, preferably on the body.. though if the engine earth cable is go dthe engine block will do! then press the red wire on to each spade connector in turn, with the igntion on, and see which ones give you 12v... then repeat with ignition off and see which ones...

Re: old plug wiring brown and yellow stripe?

I'm actually quite concerned there. You weren't sure if it was 12 or 240 volt, so you went straight for the bigger more dangerous option. Even though ones dc, the other Ac. Don't do that again, incredibly dangerous

Re: Cheap modifications

exactly, but pinto and cologne are about as new as i like. im not keen on the sound of the zetecs these days. or the capacity! 1.4 isnt a big enough change for me, even if the performance increase is greater than the 2 litre pinto. i dunno i guess theres no pride in having 1.4litres of frugality =p ...

Re: Cheap modifications

but those pintos can be modded into oblivion, and parts are super plentifull. its abit less common too, if you were gonna mod it that much, wouldnt you rather do somethign a little bit different to norm? and tbh i prefer ford parts to fiat. but thats just me. and ofcourse if your pspending that much...

Re: water temperature

well most moderns are set so that 90* is just right, anythign hotter woudl be slightly too hot and then the fan kicks in so is be temptd to set ti to somewhere between 90 to 95.... if you find that its not cooling down quickly enough then turn it down to 85-90.

That sounds like bl! Tbf though, if I had spent hours and untold amounts of hard work dropping a fiat in ky minor, with a sunvisor for some guy in orange cords to call it an affront, well is be majorly annoyed. He doesn't have to like it, but he doesn't have to insult it either, to my mind that arti...

Re: Cheap modifications

Wider steelies would be decent. No spoiler!!! And Tbf you very rarely need to go into 1st if your moving..... If you want quiet then put some good sound proofing down. I guess I just don't see the point in such intensive mods for minor gain. Now if you said fit a v8, well that'd be a different matte...

Lancaster quoted me £709 as a 23year old with a 7 month old license. Fj quoted me £360 so I can't fault them tbh.
