Minilites are ugly! 5 speed is expensive for little real benefit.

Re: new carbs....
Checked all that, it all returns to its original positions nicely, but sometimes tick over is high, other times normal. When its high, if I jiggle the linkage left and right Abit it settles down again. I can live with it, but it is annoying and I would like it fixed tbh. I live in the midlands and g...

Re: new carbs....
That's exactly what I'm experiencing! Sometimes tick over is quite high, then I blip the throttle and it comes right down!
So if I were to buy a second hand carb and refurb it odds are it would be exactly the same unless I buy a ludicrously expensive tool, or took it to a machine shop?

Re: new carbs....
Having never messed with a carb before I reckon ill buy a second hand one and a refurb that, then drop it on and keep my current as a good spare for emergencies. That way i can drop it straight on with no messing! Which is usefully since its my daily! How much are these kits then and what does it co...

Spotted katies car outside b&q.
BTW, your tyres look like your tracking is/was way out! The outside 1/3rd of your near side front was looking pretty bare.... otherwise a lovely vehicle though.

Tbf if that's its first drive in a while head gaskets have been known to go, could just be bad luck. Not a big job if it is just a gasket.

Re: mg midget engine 1500 swap ??
I have to confess, though I have future plans for appt of mile modifications to mine, I haven't found the standard minor to be slow at all! I keep up with modern traffic without any trouble, intact I regularly overtake some quite expensive modern cars, so I can't quite understand where all this unde...

Saw 4 on a driveway in Norton canes, and 5 on a driveway in cheslyn hay. Better hope some dodgy pikey isn't reading this. It's as bad as when people said putting a picture of a cartoon character on Facebook would be a give away for peadophiles.... because a picture of Dora the explorer is far more l...

Re: Urgent- this affects us all
Over reaction. None of that will effect anyone here. If you have an historically important vehicle. Such as a vehicle owned by enzo, or Mr rolls. Then yes you'll have reason to moan. But if anything its easier for us to modify minors than ever now we dont need the paperwork. Any notion otherwise is ...

If you can't get a minor for that cash, may I recommend a 924? 500 will get you a good onthe road example. Similar a rubber bumper mg. Or be very different and get a robin! Or a rascal van
