it was excellent- i would go again just to see a mk1 jaguar four wheel drift. the wall of death was pretty good too.

didn't know the boys brigade was still about to be honest! good to see some scouters on here. today our explorer unit helped park cars at the local show. plenty of minors there including mine for the first time.

i know it sounds dreadful, but the back bar of the boot floor does bend after a while. my method of getting the spare in (with 155 tyres on i hasten to add) was to get a crow or jemmy bar, and gently pry the the rear of the boot floor up. it may damage the paint slightly, so if you intend on enterin...

any fellow scouters on the forum?
i was just wondering if there were any scouts, leaders, even ex scouts on the forum. i belong to Verwood ESU. in the east dorset district. i am also soon to be an assistant cub leader in 2nd verwood group.

series MM s had aluminium kick plates, but to save money, and i think something to do with the korean war, BMC (or nuffield) changed them to pressed steel, painted silver. i am not aware that they were ever painted body colour from factory, but i await correction

you were proven correct- it broke down five times yesterday and ended up being towed home. think that the dynamo was not charging as well as it could of.limegreen wrote:silly things, always seem to be breaking - especially those buses!

great choice, make an excellent rock n roll car. dunno what you are like at driving in a drape jacket, crepe soles and drainpipes pat? this is the uniform when driving a PA. what about a velox? or even an f type victor?

as for the leak i would check three things. 1. the gaskets around the bottom of the wiper mounts 2.the gaskets around the bonnet hinges 3. the seal around the back edge of the bonnet also worth a check maybe the seal around the gearbox tunnel and dip switch? door seals probably wouldn't go amiss eit...
