Has anyone modified their steering column to incorporate adjustable rake?
If so, wat was the donor?
IF not, can anyone think of a suitable donor for the top half of the rack? Something in-keeping and ideally with a spline pattern the same as the Minor.

Re: I'm in trouble.
be careful about introducing too much heat to the header rail, either with a lamp or with a welder. It's heavily lead loaded. lead loading.jpg if it was me, i would first try using a slit disc in a grinder to cut a slot for a screwdriver in the top of it. Failing that, very very gently i would strad...

Re: engine paint, undercoat or not?
Hi, Personally I dont tend to, so long as the surface is properly degreased, as the heat resistant paint is likely to peel if the primer isnt as heat resistant as the top coat.

Re: standard 1 1/4" carb
hi, Dashpot oil is one of those things that everyone will have an answer, however what Burlen (the makers of SU) sell as carburettor dashpot oil is SAE 30 grade. And i think youre referring to the brass disc which opens and shuts the throttle ehich is attached through the throttle spindle. Hope this...

Re: Cavity wax and rust prevention products
i use rustbusters products, in particular their dinitrol cavity wax as it's thin and gets everywhere. applied properly with a compressor and mister.
i worked on this with rustbuster a short time ago which may prove useful: http://www.skillshack.co.uk/course/how- ... d-of-rust/
