oh so if they were got rid of the van back would become a complete panel

are they truely necessary as they seem to make a nice place for rust to exsist and thrive do they actually have any real job. its okay i don't have a van and i'm not planning on buying a perfect original and hack them off its just i want to know what they do.

i know this thread is old and probably dead but i just wanted to have my input i'm 22 so quite young not very though i really like morris minors. i don't think theyve had as much coverage as the vw as the altenative transport e.g hippys, surfers etc because they were cheap. what different lights could you put on a van without much trouble. Apart from possibly welding the light cradle on the van. as i would use my van daily and am a bit scared of the visibility of the rear lights. will any lucas or mini light work. or does anyone know of any others

saw the black van today looks in a very poor state parked in a carpark down the road just past the bentley garage in norwich
