Preventative rather than reactive?
Must be a reason for it, when was the 4dr introduced, much the same time as the Z1210x LRBM bodyshell codes?
Nearly 3k on the list, NO early 4drs to compare this with!

Re: Falling standards

Memory has a funny habit of being selective, over-rehearsing positive memories, making one more comfortable as the past is by definition more certain than the present or future, and confirming the biases one has at the time of recollection. As such it can basically become myth. Even the ancient Ath...

A Dove can dive from a good height and at great speed. Their close relative, the pigeon received medals post ww2, not an Olympic medal but one just as important :D

Adderley Park LCVs

For Paul Skilleter's & Anders Clausger's updated book - which will have our humble efforts included in the LCV section - we desperately require details from Common Lane, Adderley Park assembled LCVs. Whether it be restored, a daily runner, a basket case or simply rf60/v5 info from a long dead motor,...

Re: LRBM & square topped wiper motor plinths

Chris, if you put the changes and introductions into chronological order there may be a plausible explanation. Issigonis designed the shell. Then after a couple years the roof join was identified as a costly operation and the moulding was added as a solution. Soon the four door was introduced. A fe...

Re: Ebay

If a Jag E type doesn't have matching numbers, value goes down, yet a 1971 Austin Minor with a 1964 id isn't questioned.

I might be wrong, did BMC make pre-production Austin LCVs (with BL paint & trim) way back in 1964?

It's pretty exaspirating, but I doubt things will ever change.

Ebay

2 dodgy Minor's sold on ebay recently.... Who would buy a Minor based only on the v5 info provided? Could fill over a page on the differences between a 1964 & a 1971 vehicle, yet ppl are perfectly happy to hand over several £1k's on something that MAY have a dubious history & won't be legally insured.
