I'll have to see if it comes back, but I'm hoping that whatever it is might have resolved itself :) It probable felt threatened by your post...

15W40 Magnatec is a bit over the top for a standard 1098 but it will protect it well and not do it any harm! (it's what I use in my tuned 1380). Cheers Cam! I was hoping you'd answer as I remeber you saying something about it in "Oil" (which i can't now find). It's just that I've got a bi...

Liquids!

Now, Is it totally okay to use Comma Trolly Jack oil to replenish the Armstrong shock-absorbers? Also, I know we've covered oils extensively before, but is Castrol 15W40 Magnatec perfectly fine for a standard 1098? The bottle says on the bottom in a kinda slogan-ish way "Synthetic Engineering&q...

What about the fact that the clutch throw arm sticks out on the right hand of the gearbox (to couple up with the linkage). Does this mean there are left and right hand gearboxes?? The cases and internals are all the same with the only exception being the arm mounting plate (which the clutch arm piv...

Untill about half a year ago, when I fitted one, my car had run with the standard steady and no cable... ...and it still has it's standard steady on it. Me, and the previous driver, are not exactly 'slow' drivers either. One thought is the softness of the engine mount rubbers. With the rubber gettin...
