I sprayed mine without too much hastle. Turned out a right classy finish too. No spray over onto the bodywork, chrome or rad either. You just have to slot loads of card down between the rad and push balls of screwed up paper into the crevices on both sides of the grill. Well mask off the bodywork an...

So, how many 'thuds-per-minute' should a minor make at tickover for a nice corrent tickover speed? Could someone who considers their tickover to be perfect please count the number of beats from the engine in a 10 or 20 second gap (once their engin is warm'd) so that I may get a general idea to how f...

So, this is the place that we ask the questions like "How do we remove hubcaps without scratching the paint on the wheels?" and such, that have recently come up in conversation?

Handy site if you do want to fit a SU HIF 38:

One plus side of fitting an older HS4 is that you can retain the old 1098 air filter housing for originality.

Re: Door Tops

I have is the 2nd hand door (removed from another '68 saloon) has a large gap between the front of the door top (where the quarterlite is) and the edge of the door frame. Mine has a gap like that, well, big enough so I can see daylight through it. It is a potential leak area, but water only comes i...

With great difficulty!

Sorry, seriously now, take the bumper off and grind the nut off. You'll just have to replace the bolt and nut (use stainless behind the overiders, it can't be seen easily from there anyway if your trying to keep your mog looking standard).

No worries Kevin, no pain for me. Just thought it might have been handy with me at home save having to post it. Don't worry if you can't find anything to swap the stub with, I don't mind for the moment. I'll prob just nick a blanking plate off of a mini without a heater (Or make one. (A blanking pla...

Or it could be the speedo itself giving up the goast.

Kevin By some mystical force I'm back home in Hemel for this weekend, so if you want I could take a little run out in Boris and drop the stub off to you if you still need it. It hasn't polished up well, but is in much better condition than I remeber it being in! Ray I've also dug out the tap with t...

Hemel's okay, gone really down hill since the council decided to knock down the Pavilion and stop the Boxmoor Arts Center. Leisure World is still slowly slipping down the land-fill hill it was built upon up Jarman Park, and nearly everyone who lives there now is a townie. Apsley hasn't got affected ...

I remeber that as my fist names are R obert D avid and my smoke blue 2-door is a G-reg. That was about half a year to a year ...
