Re: some rediculous driver!

I have just adapted my driving to suit the cars - slow lane, not overtaking unless there is a mile clear in the right hand lane etc. T...

Re: Model changes & original colours???

According to Ray Newell the large light units came into use in late 1963 but the 3-spoked wheel and pull start disappeared in october 1964 so your description sounds correct, it should have open glove boxes and a gold faced speedo. This would match with my car (13 02 1964). It has a 3-spoked wheel,...

Re: abit of advice if you please?

Hello I am by no means as experienced and knowledgable as many on here who will no doubt offer valuable advice and guidance, but I did something similar to your senario. I bought the '64 four-door in the pic below aff ebay without inspecting it first:oops: . I  (I say I, but the old man did al...

Clutch issue

I have browsed the threads for info, and found it very helpful. However, I would like a wee confirmation. symptoms - When changing into third and fourth gears, the clutch appears to not fully engage. I have also found it to slip underload (going up a hill) occassionally. I have attempted to wd40 the...

No Ignition?!

Hello I was having an issue with the ignition light staying on. I read all advice on here, check dynamo, it was motoring fine, changed brushes anyway. We put it all back together and now there is no ignition at all! No light, the battery is wired up correctly, all connections are back in place any i...

Nope, I'm just thick  You say tomato, I say........cucumber. Oh no! Hope I haven't just bought two privet hedges off...

Re: new member

Well, I finally went and done it. After years of debating, should I, shouldn't I.................. I totally ignored the wife, and the overtones from my mechanic father (they have no brakes son, I mean, there are NO brakes!) and purchased a 1964 Morris 1000 :D At the moment it is almond green, a pre...
