Re: Where do these seals go??

I can confirm these seals go on the under side of the door, bought some similar a while back, only to find the channels were to badly rusted, so haven't fitted them yet.

Re: Opinions please on this Traveller

As has been said have it checked over by someone who knows what they are looking for, try contacting one of the branchs near to where the car is i'm sure someone will have a look for you. covering petrol cost doing it that way is cheaper than wasting 5k

Re: Winter driving

Not only that but it would wrap around the suspension and drive shaft if front wheel drive and cause complete loss of control. why the numpty in this BMW has put chains on the front i'll never know, lack of basic knowledge i think of ones car, chains may be fine on ice as they dig into it. Re: MOT Exemption

Yes am in favour of cheaper MoT's for classics as in general there is less to check, but as Mark said above and i maybe wrong the few 1970 + cars i beleive require an emmission gas check.

Re: seat belts

Once you have fitted the seatbelts however, as they are fitted they come under the the MoT regulations and mu...

You could also contact the DLVA asking for the history file they will send you the relivant forms to send back with a fee payable, you should have by return a detailed history from when the vehicle was first registered.

Re: van or pick up help

The other thing to think about is hydrolics where to fit the tank, where will the ram fit, hydrolic lines, how will you power the hydrolics mechanical pump or electric, will the pick up electrics cope, without a serious upgrade. Then after doing all that you find out you are over your axle weight bef...

And your meaning is what, that the car has had a respray, late model switches and surround fitted, and the car has had a registration change. The person selling it may not be as knowledgable as some of us and may have written the add thinking the information they have is correct, or maybe it was don...
