Sad news indeed! I for one will miss his contributions to this forum.

Re: Correct oil filter?

Should be fine. An hour should cover it easily. It all depends on how many tea breaks you take.

Re: Discounted Parts

Bull motif, morrisminorspares.net , have some special offers on at the moment. Be careful to compare their web offer with their ordinary listing though as I got caught out that way once. It is worth checking regularly with suppliers for special offers.

Re: Correct oil filter?

Looks the business to me. You just hook out and renew the rubber ring (one of those supplied will fit) in the lip of the filter housing. Don't lose the spring and the metal washer which are inside the housing.

Re: Parcel Shelf

It isn't to do with ashtrays which are fitted to the shelf itself, not the car body. I think the extra holes were for an alternative (slightly lower) position of the parcel shelf if the (optional) heater was fitted. My own late Minor 1000 only has a captive nut in the lower hole because by then mos...

For the ashtrays? Later cars had an ashtray on each side under the parcelshelf.

Re: CAR SEAT COVERS

Makers of seat covers etc used to be found in Exchange and Mart amongst other places. I imagine today one could s...

Re: What Tools?

A long time ago, on a trip to France, I shared the back seat of a Reliant Scimitar with an emergency windscreen and goodness knows what other paraphanalia. None of it got used thankfully. Hope you have an enjoyable and trouble free trip. I live in Northern France (Gisors) should you need any assista...
