Re: Increase of mileage?

Ok thank you everyone, I think my best bet is to get a bigger fuel tank maybe or go by Matt's nugget of information by going at around 50 mph :D .

Increase of mileage?

Hello fellow Young Members, If I wanted to increase the mileage of my Morris Minor; how would I go about doing it? A while ago I calculated using Carfolio.com that the mileage of a Morris Minor 1000 is around 262 miles on a full tank of petrol, whilst outputting 44 mpg. I know the obvious solution i...

Re: Terror on the 1st June

If the traffice lights were covered by the tree is that the Council's fault? Sorry I didn't mean that how it sounded. I meant that if the tree was covering up the lights should the Council be responsible and therefore compensate you? Long shot I know!!! I suppose, but our insurance is covering the ...

Re: Terror on the 1st June

Glad that you and your Mum were ok, but what a nasty incident. Have to say I hate going to MK and I always seem to get lost on my way home! I know it's supposedly a logical road set-up but I don't go there often enough to familiarize myself and so never seem to find the same route home as I have ta...

Thank you, I'm sure the council will notice it, but we've learnt that it's there now :-).

I'm sure my car will be fixed up soon enough :-).

oh dear :/ - i often go down that way, so i'll watch out. :/ glad you're okay. as for the car, make sure you get it properly checked out - aesthetically, the wing might be the only thing needing replacement, but the impact could have caused servere underlying issues :/ Thank you, we'll be handing h...

Re: Terror on the 1st June

Let's just say that the main road is a bit dangerous because the bus lane comes out at the side, so please do be cautious when doing down there, basically we didn't really see the traffic lights on the driver's side, but it was visible on the passenger side.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src...

Terror on the 1st June

Hello again :-), Yesterday, tragically, I was in my Morris Minor with my mum going to Milton Keynes Central to watch a film. When we were driving through Avebury Boulevard, we got hit by a Scania 8-wheel flatbed on the left rear wing, sending us across the road. Here are a few images of the damage t...

Ok thank you muchly everyone :).

I shall try and get round to finding a local paint supplier and bring in a sample so that they can mix the paint to suit my car's colour, and I will bear the paint code in mind, too :D.

Morris Minor Paint Suppliers

Hello again :) , I have been searching the internet for Trafalgar Blue paint for my Morris Minor as it has a few patches of rust which need tending to, but all I have found is spray on Bull Motif. Does anyone know any paint suppliers that sell Trafalgar Blue paint in a can rather than spray paint? T...

Semi, Three Quarter and Fully Floating Wheel Hubs

Hello again :) ,

Does anybody know about Semi, Three Quarter and/or Fully Floating Wheel Hubs? It's for my work at college and I can't seem to find any definition to it. I've also been told not to refer to Wikipedia due to its unreliable source of information.

Thank you :D .

Re: Heater

if the water pump blades have rusted away (or broken off if the water froze) then the symptoms can be similar to a blocked heater - the pump won't produce enough pressure to create flow in the heater. The engine will get thermo-syphon flow which is probably enough in mid winter unless driven hard -...
