Re: Boot badge on 1955 minor

Sorry, but the whole movement idea is to put my old reflector on a better badge, mine being dull and very badly pitted. Not much one can do with Mazak. M

Re: Boot badge on 1955 minor

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was going to t cut the reflector to give more shine. I have reflectors on replacement lights which makes its use as a warning - redundant!

Thanks. I will try that. I saw the clips and realised that age is a danger.

Boot badge on 1955 minor

Does anyone know if it possible to remove the raised reflector from the badge without damaging it? M

Do I take it that this is only open to male 'anoraks'? Surely that should say husband or wife? Maybe females are too wise to commit themselves. M

Hi, if you are close to Shoreham by-sea there is a good garage in western road near the railway station that has had lots of dealings with Morris minors, including mine! M

Thank you for the advice. I will take great care. Usual trick, white paper underneath, ban the cat from the room and count them out and count them back in again! Maureen

Re: Petrol pumps

Hi, just to say I would like to take it apart to understand more about it's make up ( not mascara!) I have taken the filter out before but with one pump pumping out but not pumping in and, the other not pumping continuously, I am very curious. They have all been SU pumps from reputable companies. Thanks, I shall have to take one of the spares I now have apart and see the filter. If it is blocked then I will check the fuel tank!

Petrol pumps

Why do the petrol pumps on my 1955 minor keep failing?; I have had 2 new and 1 reconditioned pumps in 3 years. Should I have an inline petrol filter fitted or am I just unlucky!
