Remote brake master cylinder reservoir
Hi, like many folks with disc brakes and remote master cyclinder reservoirs I have had problems with the rubber/plastic feed pipe weapping and damaging paint etc. I ordered the latest ESM kit, that they assure me will solve the problem, but discover that the pipe now supplied (looks like the see-thr...

Re: temp gauge wiring
I have the Smiths electric temperature gauge fitted and was worried about the above 90 reading at normal working temperature. I fitted a second, independent voltage regulator. It made no difference. I changed the thermostat, no difference. I then bought an Infra red thermometer that suggests that my...

Re: Mot
Do the new regulations mean that all post production, convertibles (converted saloons) , that have been converted in the past 30 years, will now need an annual MOT? Might be useful for the Club to obtain a clarification on this?

Re: Petrol Sender Unit
Might be worth asking the question o e Pre War Minor network site. Easy to think only of the Post War Minor but the Morris Minor evolved from 1929 I believe. http://prewarminor.com/

Alternative steering wheels
Hi, has anyone come across a 15" steering wheel that looks more like the original 'banjo' wheel than most of the 'sporty' wheels that are available?
Has anyone modified an original wheel to take a smaller rim? Would that be possible/wise?

Re: Door catch repair
Is it possible to replace the spring in the lock that 'pushes' the brass lock catch into the catch plate on the door pillar? I assume that the same spring returns the inside door handle to the forward position?

Re: Convertible hood safety catch
Hi, mine has also behaved itself for many years but some years back I joined the MOT tour and was surprised at the number of members who had tales to tell of fly-away hoods. Since then I have always used tie-downs on each side of the screen. I was hoping to find a more elegant solution.

Convertible hood safety catch
Hi, has anyone found a good 'safety catch' that can be used to secure the front of the hood in the event of the two front fixing wingnuts failing to hold the hood down?

Re: Traveller windscreen rubber/finisher
I am about to try to fit the original stainless trim pieces into the windscreen rubber on my 1957 minor. Any tips, suggestions or advice? I have already fitted the screen into the car but now notice that the original manual describes fitting the stainless trim into the rubber before fitting the scre...
