Re: barrie's project

Barrie Sorry to hear of your predicament. You have not failed but are handing the reigns of restoration to someone else to complete. Even though someone else will complete the restoration it will always be your grandpas car. My only advice as regards value - do not under value - you can always come...

Re: Carb for 948

The first four pictures are of H types carbs and the fifth picture is of a HS2 carb. The manifold with the small holes is for the 803cc engine and is not suitable for the 948cc engine. What is the sizes of the throats of the first four H type carbs measured at the manifold end of the carb ? The 803...

Re: Carb for 948

The carb in the photos above is a SU, HS2 AUD13 which is the later carb fitted to the Minor It is suitable for your Minor but I would recommend replacing the manifold for the later combined inlet/exhaust manifold - see my link above. Have you been offered a H2 SU Carb? The H2 carb can be identified...

Re: barrie's project

I’m now down to the last few repair panels and I’m not to happy with the Quality of the back panel I bought , it’s miles out of shape and the holes are no where near where they should be , so my question is where is the best back panel section I can buy ?

Re: barrie's project

Today has been productive , I actually got somewhere with the moggy . I had a play with the boot area, fitting the. Boot floor was a little head ache as I needed to use a porta power to push the quarter panels out and hold everything in place while welding in the boot shelf frame while continually c...

Re: barrie's project

I then fitted the passenger door , it kind of fits but I’m far from happy with it . It fits fine at the front but the back looks as tho the door is sitting to low, around 1cm or so ... so my thoughts are , to adjust the door up a bit more( as it needs to come up a tad) fit a spacer on the bottom hing...

Re: barrie's project

Well done to both you and Mrs Westy for rescuing those kittens and giving them a caring home. No animal deserves the treatment they'd had to endure! I won't dwell on your collision woes except to say that the damage in your pic suggests considerable speed but the location suggests car park, not out...
