Not sure that a Minor would resemble a ‘50’s taxi!

I agree, the local events are more fun with a wider variety of cars to drool over :D

Re: Quality of New Parts

At the risk of being controversial, could I suggest that the parsimonious ways of Minor owners over the years may have encouraged manufacturers to produce shoddy goods at low prices?

Weekends away

We do these occasionally with friends. They take their old Saab and we go in whatever seems sensible at the time. Anyway, went to Bristol last weekend, what a fabulous place to visit and SS Great Britain is unmissable. The Trav behaved impeccably there and back!

Check out the paint number and you should be able to get some mixed. Cheaper than rattle cans too!

When Wares did my Traveller I enquired about the Toyota box, but they were like rocking horse manure. Got the type 9 instead and been very happy with it.

Anyone without a dog is missing out on one of the best things in life! We used to have big dogs (Irish Water Spaniels) but with advancing years have found smaller dogs easier. Now totally hooked on Bedlington Terriers!

Sounds like you have been unlucky. I have electronic ignition on 3 cars and all has been fine. Didn't work on the Beetle though, so reverted to points etc.

So lucky here, the local garage is owned by an old car enthusiast and his son will take over from him in a few years. They are all steeped in classic cars, and the place usually has lots about. 5 minutes walk :D

De-caff used to taste awful, but they seem to have improved it over the years.
