Leaky coreplugs arghh
What's the best way to fitt core plugs!!!
Tapped them in but there leaking and now the engine is in the car
Should I refitt with a sealant???
Thanks for any advise

well ive learnt over the last 24hrs that the thrust face is as follows:- 1. the outer part of the bearing that is the thickest SIDE is the thrust face 2. when you remove the bearings from the hub somtimes it has thrust stamped into the outer race 3. someone said the two thickest sideof the outer rac...

thankyou mike perry. yes i checked that and there fine, i did the drivers side today, they wasnt as bad as the near side, and the NEW bearing had a little play in it but i done the castle nut up quite tight and it was ok. i did notice that the bearing spacer was diffrent from the other side, but mea...

they were face to face, but still the wheel wobled? not had the car long? and not used to minors, (more mini's) so if the bearings are faced right and the bearing spacer is correct(un grinded)doh!........why such a bad fit? by the way ordered a spacer and is on route MG's seem to have this problem a...

Right! Back to the drawing board .....damn!! I thought I'd cracked it Thank you for your warning!! I put the bearings on in the same way as the came off But you say the thrust faces need to face each other, I have put the inner races, thick side in?? Is that correct I can get another bearing spacer ...

Yep the bearings are the same, just put the new ones on (GHK1142) waste of time though the wheel is far worse(PLAY), but after a bit of mucking around i remebered reading about a mini's front wheel bearing, same problem! the guy said he got round the problem of the new bearing play by reducing the l...

1955 SPLIT SCREEN, FRONT BEARINGS??
HI does anyone now if the bearings for a 1000, will go onto 1955 split screen 803 or are they diffrent?
also if anyone has done them, what part number will i need, as been on ESM and they list bearings for the split scren but only 1948 to 1954??? and mine is 1955??

is it when lined up with the pulley mark and big point, and the piston is as high as it can go?

hi just a couple questions i managed to get hold of a 803cc block and head(seperated) ive reseated the valves and put new valve seals on new head gasket ect.............torqued down to 44lbs.............do you think that is enough? also putting the dizzy on this block...........the slots for it seen...
