I have no problem with my desktop computer , but although I can log into the MMOC site with my portable devices, I am asked to register to go to the Members Only area. I use the same log on at home, and have also...

replacing the rubber boot on taillights

Hi fellow morris people. The time has come for me to replace the rubber boot on the stop lights on my van. My question is this, if I have connectors at the lamp holder end of the wiring and bullets somewhere back along the loom, how do I get them though the tiny holes in the end of the rubber boot.....

If it looks higher than that the bush there has probably expired.

Re: Noisy front suspension

Thanks for that. I have been reading the thread on fitting the bush so I will give it a go. Don't want any metal to metal contact. I will order a set of polly bushes. Can I just ask if I can leave the damper on and still seperate the pivot pin from the damper arm? I was thinking if I just remove the...

Noisy front suspension

Hi Guys, Happy Easter to all. Can I ask for some advice please. My van has developed a loud squeak from the drivers side front end. I think it is coming from the top of the trunnion. The bushes look to be in good condition and there is no play in the suspens ion. I have greased it but it is still no...

Setting the tappets

Hi, I am about to give my van a service and this involves setting the tappets. The book says that this needs to be done with the engine cold. I like the engine warm when I drain the oil and if I leave the tappets until the last job, the engine is still quite warm to the touch, but not at operating t...

Re: Oil seals Rear Axle 1969 Van

Why I asked about if the o rings were replaced, is that when I put a seal and bearing kit on both sides of my 1970 van, the relacement o rings were a bit too large in circumference. I had to be very careful to make sure they stayed put in the groove while I slid the half shaft back in. The first tim...

Re: electronic distributor

Hi Wishbone, I discovered that even though the instructions only talk about dynamic timing with a strobe, you can in fact staticly time the electronic distributor. You can use a lamp, the same way as for traditional points. Connect one side of the lamp to the negative terminal of the coil and the ot...

Re: Droning / deep vibration at over about 50.

Sorry, mine is a van. Yours is as it should be, so the one to check is the one before the bend over the rear axle.

Re: Droning / deep vibration at over about 50.

Hi Jane, mine was rubbing there and making a noise. I discovered that the first exhaust support, before the muffler ,was cracked and the exhaust had dropped down a bit. Without the support there the whole exhaust system was vibrating, causing a horrible rattle. Once I welded it up the clearance prob...

Re: Fuel Gauge reads low

Thanks very much for the information guys. If I have to have the speedo out at any stage I will look for the adjustment and if not I will try a gentle bend of the float arm.. I will leave well enough alone at the moment thought. Thanks again
