Re: Minor Million London Show
It was looking shiny at the show - I didn't think the show was great - only one hall - lots of high end, high performance cars if that's your thing.[frame][/frame]

London Ultra Low Emission Zone Consultation - closes 9th Jan
I just received an email from a cycling group (I stop at red lights) about the proposed Ultra Low Emission Zone in central London. Transport for London is running a public consultation that closes tomorrow. Details of the ULEZ: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/environment/ultra-low-emission-zone You...

Re: Immediate patch for very deep scratch (to metal)
I don't think it was malicious - but no one bothered to leave a note and it's not something you wouldn't have notice doing. Thanks all for the advice, I went to patch it with touch-up but found my pot had dried out and I don't have any thinners!

Immediate patch for very deep scratch (to metal)
Someone has very kindly left their mark on Dodo's front wing
It's done through the primer to the metal - should I just fill in with some touch up I have until I get some professional care next in about 10 day's time?[frame][/frame]

Re: Minor garages in Cornwall?
I took Dodo to Cornwall the other week and had a problem with the distributor cap on the way down. As luck would have it the local garage Tintagel Motors 1/2 mile from the cottage we were renting was able to get me a replacement next day .

Re: I'm 6ft 2in, will I fit into the front seat of a Moggy?
I'm 6'1" and fit in my '65 2-door easily, though I've got Newton Commercial seats that are bolted one hold further back. I'm also quite happy behind the wheel in my '57 4-door with the original seats in the factory standard position.

Photos from today's event. Good turnout, good atmosphere, good location and good weather. Thank you to the committee for organising it. I asked this same question a couple of weeks ago
GPS & GSM devices are cheaper, but apparently can be blocked more easily than VHF devices.Tracker - GPS vs VHF for stolen vehicle recovery http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=55254

Re: MY CAR HAS BEEN STOLEN!
This is horrific, it seems that since October to be about one Minor per month that's been taken from the streets of London and reported here.
Will keep a lookout in my borough for you.

Tracker - GPS vs VHF for stolen vehicle recovery
Given the worrying increase in classic car theft I'm considering having a tracking device fitted to my car. I know that there are relatively cheap GPS devices available online, but given "you get what you pay for" I'm thinking about spending (quite a bit) more and going for a monitored ser...

Re: Daily use classics, very rare now.
I only drive on evenings and weekends as I commute by cycle, however my 2 ladies have clocked up 5.5k over the past 12 months. I see a classic Porsche, Volvo Amazon that get used often locally, but usually at weekends.

Inconsiderate parking - people who leave massive gaps at the end of a parking bay. Oh and people who over (or undertake in the bus lane) then cut back in front in a 30 or 20mph zone.

Yes it's available on iPlayer now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04000ms/the-one-show-11042014 after the pre-credit opening sequence you can skip to about 20min30s to see the feature on Lord Nuffield and the Minors. Dodo missed out on her 15 seconds of fame, as although I spoke with the rese...
