Hi As a little addition to thread sizes , the track rod ends can be 5/8 BSF or 5/8 UNF . The way to tell is use a front hub nut on the male thread coming out of the rack or the oilpipe banjo bolt on the ball joint. Take it from my hard experience ,the rubber covers cause the cap to ''sweat '' which exacerbates the problem ,but better than nowt.

Poor damp starting

A useful tip to avoid poor starting on damp morning is to wash the dizzy cap [inside and out ] and also all the ignition leads ,caps etc with Methelated Spirit. This will remove all traces of oil film that allows the spark to '' track '' and I can assure you this is far better than spraying WD4O eve...

Great news ,......i think thanks for the swift reply,will let you know how I get on after Christmas as I will be cruising to the Caribean until then ....I know it's a tough life but somebody has to do it .

Hi,have just bought a Morris Traveller [1969] needing a bit of work,I need to replace the upper cant rail on the lh side . I have removed the sliding windows,channels,headlining,roof gutter and inner wood cappings but cannot see how to remove the aforementioned rail. Is it glued or nailed to the inn...
