WMR 394 Grey Traveller

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows the wherabouts of a grey Traveller that lived round the corner from me when I was growing up, in Poole, Dorset? Its registration was WMR 394 and it was a series 3 Minor (trafficators, gold face speedo etc.) in grey with dark red leather seats. It was a bit...

Thanks very much everyone. So, gold means that Morris did some big work on this one, while silver means less needed doing, PSL? The engine number starts 8G162RM and there's also a big 'AD' stamp elsewhere on the engine number plate - all quite different to the 10V etc. number on my other engine The ...

Is this a "Gold Seal" engine????

Hi everyone, I've heard about 'Gold Seal' engines before, but I have no idea what they are! I'm wondering if my Minor's 1098cc engine is one? <br> http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1244490867_1740 <br><br> http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1244490888_1740 <br> It's painted gold and doesn't seem to...

Will there be a SADMOG run to the national rally? I'm up for it, if the Minor passes its MoT by then :)

Good luck with the V62, Ken - sounds like you'll have a smashing Minor if it all works out ok

When I was a kid, I dreamed of rescuing an untaxed grey Traveller round the corner from me (wonder if WMR 394 still exists?). Never did though, so good for you for saving yours!

Those mosquitoes and things were really out in force yesterday. The Minors sounded good as everyone drove off mind you - couldn't resist opening my window to listen!

I'm coming along tomorrow, so see you all then :D . I'll be in the Fiesta again though, as the Morris is still not quite flight ready (although really, really close to being finished!)

Where's it going to be?

Congratulations on getting it back on the road - your mog must really fly now!! Twin cam plus fab '50s split-screen styling is a great combination!

It's just a one-piece spoiler - the black bit is where I'm going to paint on the number plate letters! Not that a Minor needs it, but as it was lying around, thought I'd bolt it on!

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get to a SADMOG meet soon (I've been hidden away from the Morris Minor world for too long!). Will this week's one be on Thursday? I've got my saloon finished by the way! Well, sort of finished (plenty still to do), but it goes, stops (eventually) and looks like a car again...

Oh wow, a blue MMOC sunstrip would look brilliant in the Morris! It would match the very old club sticker in the back window! Thanks for having a look for me Carlo. That's a nice looking grey saloon by the way, but what's that clinging to the front grille?

Ah, in that case I expect the Austin's long gone, poor old thing.

An 'Isle of Man TT Races' sunstrip would certainly cut a dash, but was it attatched to a Morris or something sportier(!), Judge?

By the way, what does MDC stand for?

those stick-on windscreen sun-strip things

Hi, I found a (slightly wobbly) old picture of an Austin 1300 Countryman my parents owned years ago and just look at the sun-strip windscreen sticker - wow! I think it says "Radio 1 - The Happy Sounds" - not the sort of thing Radio 1 would say about itself now! I'd love something like that...
