Wheel paint colour........
My car is Old English White methinks? :-? I wanted to paint the wheels in a similar colour but wanted one application metal paint and didn't want to pay a fortune for enough celulose to paint the car AND wheels. I've tried painting one wheel initially with Hammerite's Smooth Cream metal paint. This ...

Re: Positive or negative earth........ two.
Nah..........staying positive! Done a bit of research on google and it appears its mainly because of standardisation. Don't intend adding a radio , so shouldn't be problem.bmcecosse wrote:No. Change it to -ve earth.

Re: Positive or negative earth........ two.
Are their ANY positives (sic) to be gained by sticking with positive earth though, apart from originality of course?

Positive or negative earth........ two.
Posted a question on an earlier thread which was slightly off topic . Wondered why Morris, along with other manufacturers went from positive earth to negative earth Got a reply off bmcecosse There is NO advantage. -ve earth was proven to reduce rusting - so that's why it's universally used now. You ...

A 50/50 mix of petrol and diesel dibbled on works for me. Followed by a blast with the pressure washer.(Helps find any thin bodywork also!)

Re: positive or negative earth?
Lots of electrical bits missing off my moggy rebuild, including leads, battery etc but luckily regulator is still there.
Just to go off topic slightly, does anyone know the advantages of a positive earth system apart from originality and being able to wire it up as it was previously?

Which distributor cap?
Bought a moggie with distributor in situ but no distributor cap or leads. I notice there are distributor caps that have the leads coming out the sides on some models. Does it matter which I use?
Its a 948cc engine.
Any help appreciated.

Sill structure
Couldn't work out the sill stucture from the pile of rust on mine. Found a really handy cross section on DSN that may be useful to others.
