Re: BUMPER VALANCE FOR LAST MINOR REBUILD

We have decided to use the original valance which is straight and repairable in order to maintain the originality of the car as much as possible. We will still be needing several ideally new old stock Morris parts where the original parts cannot be restored. If you have anything for a 1960s/70s 1098...

Re: Old Lucas regulators

I have found that even new old stock boxed ones that have been sitting on the shelf since the 1950s often do not work. Is there anyone out there in the club who knows how to overhaul regulators or has the means of testing them?

Phil Hit wrong key. My laptop has just run out of waranty and sudenly it is not typing double leters or numbers (as you can se from this uncorected sentence) and doing al sorts of weird things plus going very slow. Re: Identification of cylinder heads

Its definitely 12G193 and it takes standard 1098 valves. Sometimes I have found numbers cast on BMC parts is one different to actual part number but not found this with cylinder heads as with the 12H295 head we also have in stock.

Re: footman james

Having used Peter James for last 4 years I thought I would give FJ another chance last month since I had been told they were now more competitive. With 4 Minors their premium on a like for like basis was about £450 or £150 more than PJ. However by then adding my modern car it only increased the prem...

Mary

My second Minor was a late 1970 Almond green 2dr saloon , FLL168J. an ex London car as yours would have been. Bought in 1973 when at Norwich City College and last seen many years ago ( c 1982) in Medlars scrapyard.

Best wishes to you and Chris.

Re: Swapping speedo's

The mph speedo with black face , 90mph and 1408 as part of the number is right for the 1098 Minor in standard spec. Sometimes I have seen one with 1376 tpm fitted.

Re: Split-screen chrome surround on eBay??

MMOC Response I have been trying for years to find someone who will make the splitscreen surrounds for the club but without success. Even asked Indian members to see if they could find someone over there to make some maybe out of polished aluminium. One of the problems in getting them made in the UK...

Andrew
Only occasionally look at this website a busy dealing with members spares enquiries via email and phone hence phone number.

Have discovered the local sandblaster is very slow at doing work but can get a price from my local Minor welder to repair the lid.

Please ring me.
