Agreed, even from remote South Africa, Roy's posts and pragmatic insights were always a pleasure to read and was invaluable advice for MM owners here.
RIP Roy & condolences to all friends & family,

Re: Doors back in car; with or without upper half/glas ?
I'm pretty sure that's what I did.... hang the doors, bolt up tight enough so there is no movement, but expect to do a final adjustment when all is assembled. This gives a convenient working height environment to enable you to do all the tricky assembly of all the other parts!

Re: And the windscreen suddenly went bang...
Yes I thought so too... although EMS said they have never had a problem unless the delivery truck backed over the box :o To be fair, it was packed quite well and unless you dropped it from a height the screen would most likely not contact the outside of the box which is probably a fair test for pack...

Re: And the windscreen suddenly went bang...
Yes, as always EMS has great customer service.
They used an oversized cardboard box filled with plenty of bubble wrap and cardboard offcuts. FEDEX did the shipping (don't ask what that cost )
I reused the 'old' rubber and locking strip since they were still in good 'nick'

Re: And the windscreen suddenly went bang...
Report back -
New screen (from EMS) fitted today, went in reasonably easily. Cost GBP 20 for fitment. Used silicon spray as lube.
Hope this one stays in a little longer!

Re: doing the distance
Don't forget the spare windscreen!
(don't ask me why the photo keeps getting inverted. If I invert the original then it does not invert, so the result is the same upside-down car)

Re: And the windscreen suddenly went bang...
Thanks all for the response. Last year when I did fit the new rubber I used a "professional" team (father & 2 sons) that came out to the house. The father had definitely had prior experience inserting Morris type windscreens, and with the 3 of them they got the screen in without too mu...

And the windscreen suddenly went bang...
After 1 year of happy motoring... I was trundling along to work this morning and suddenly the windscreen shattered with a thud. Ordinary coolish 19C ambient temperatures. I don't think it was hit by anything... it is a very symmetric series of cracks. No evidence of an object striking the screen. Ru...

Re: how's your legs??
MMmo, It took me about 3 months, lots of cleaning & scraping & preparation, and as Chesney says, measuring & remeasuring..... I also had to do some fettling of the legs (the were too long at the rear where it braces against the centre X member) and I cut back about 2-3mm if I recall. I d...

Re: how's your legs??
Here's mine before and after. I had also driven 150 mile with the leg in that state  The RHS leg was very rotten at least half its length up front (you can see some of the welding patches from the PO). The LHS was bad also, as was the front X member. They were the original legs and I replaced ...

TRTerry, I recently wrote having the same problem with a duff switch that was fine when new then deteriorated... http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=56917 My work around is described. Not everyone's cup of tea as you might say. BUT it's a lot easier than changing the switch for possibly ...

I see others have recently reported problems with new master cylinders, so I thought I need to report this. I installed a new MC lab labelled "Lockheed" (purchased from DMG, (moderator to delete if necessary)), installed & commissioned in Feb this year. Last weekend on routine inspecti...
