Re: poor cold starting
Thanks for replies.
New and correctly gapped points and plugs fitted. Battery turns engine over very well.
Re the choke makes no difference whether in or out, strange thing is when engine running pulling choke out hardly changes engine revs( I do suspect carb problems)

poor cold starting
hi Advice please.
From cold my moggy will only start after about 30 secs turning over. once started the starting is normal.
Although a standard su pump is fitted it is as though a mechanical one has to pump the juice through.

Re: Overheating Marty
Hi I have checked the coolant temp with a thermometer and the gauge appears to be pretty accurate. Are the dome top and flat top rads interchangeable( flat top at present) Are the dimensions the same apart from the height? I just hope it's not the head gasket. regards

Better airfilter for Marty
Hi On previous post various members said the fitted airfilter would be strangling my 1275 engine with HS4 carb. Could anybody suggest an improved air filter arrangement (Not a K&N due to cost/noise?) Thanks in advance Dave[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1368441124_18592 [/frame]
