Support needed for Lottery funding bid!
You may already know that my husband (pskipper on here) and I have a very rotten 1966 police panda traveller. It's in terrible condition but is incredibly rare - the only known english survivor that was a police panda traveller (there is one other Edinburgh one). We have been having discussions with...

Cambridge 'Big Day Out' 10th July.

Re: Black Oil
I'm guessing you're talking about Eric  If so then my Dad never drove him very far - an occasional 6 mile round trip into work and back, and the branch meetings / runs in the summer. He'd also been standing for a while before my Dad bought him, so that'd presumably add to the crud build up. I'...

Re: Heater reconditioning?
If it had chucked all the coolant out - that coolant was presumably lying all over your feet and legs.......... Quite obvious I would have thought! Have you tested the matrix with a garden hose to find the leak ? And yes - if you consider originality over warmth - by all means chase up a new matrix...

Re: Heater reconditioning?
You should just have taken the feed pipes off and shorted out the loop - and driven home! The later heater is MUCH better - and the even later one from a Mini is very much better. I would upgrade........ 1. That assumes I knew what the problem was at the roadside. I actually pulled over due to clou...

Heater reconditioning?
Betsy Belle's heater matrix decided to give up today, which earnt her a ride home on a recovery truck  Can anyone suggest a supplier either of a new matrix or someone who could recondition the current one? It's a round one from 1960 and the usual Minor suppliers don't seem to stock them. Thank ...

Re: another insurance query! (girls! .. and boys too.)
I have 2 cars on 1 policy with FJ, paying £180 per year fully comp with business use and unlimited mileage. My cheapest ever policy was with RH ( £57ish for one saloon) but they insisted on garaged cars, and FJ were the only ones I found that'd do business on a classic policy.

Very useful thread... I've just had a quote through for sandblasting pskipper's panda car (with his permission, I should add, I don't just decide to sandblast random people's cars). It's a good price - £600 including two coats of primer after the sandblasting, but thanks to this thread I know what s...

As one of the police register people that Rosie was talking to, we'd had no advance warning either. We could only find two volunteers to take part (me and my Dad), which was a shame as it sounded fun! If we'd known you needed some more supporters though, we'd have happily been rounded up to wave at ...

Core plugs
Are the core plugs on a 1275 Midget engine the same as on the 1098 Minor engine? The ones on my car are leaking slightly and I'd like to get some replacements!
Thank you
Thank you

We'd be up for going up North for a long weekend camping/rally Phil, see topic 'Police register'.. I mention a rally on there in June which is camping and a show, excellent venue, Lynda's been  Mal Yes, very nice place  Unfortunately that's a bit too close to our MITHOS trip, we'll only...

I think I've got a 3.9 diff around (well, attached to the traveller the engine came from) that I could use as exchange if necessary... and no, it's not any good otherwise I'd have already used it on my car  Still by the sound of things a 3.7 may be the way to go... will have a look at the pric...
