Tyre sizes
Hi
Can anybody tell me the tyre size ( radial ) on a standard Minor wheel rim ( late traveller ). My regular supplier is having difficulty cross referencing one to replace my spare.

Re: Etch primer - overpainting
Hi Etch primer is acid based and is the best base coat to put onto new metal or well cleaned-up rusted areas. A high build primer is as good as any 'next coat' and will help to fill any light scratches - you won't have any reaction with primer. Just be careful if you are using an aerosol, high build...

Re: Traveller strip down help
Hi Dave I was fortunate enough to find that the wood on 'my' traveller was quite sound but needed a major overhaul on the finish to give it a few more years life, without replacement sections. One or two of the members on here gave me sound advice suggesting to invest in Ray Newell's '' Morris Minor...

Re: Daily use classics, very rare now.
Mine also gets used every day. The wife goes to work in her Vauxhall Mokka and I trundle around in my traveller. Wouldn't have it any other way - come rain or shine - as others have said '' that's what they were built for '' and regular use stops it getting arthritis so to speak. Each to their own, ...

Re: Le Tonkinois Varnish
I am about to order some of this. The write up on their web site seems to be the ideal thing for Minor Traveller top coats. I have got the old 'gazebo' up and have the first task ( not looking forward to it ! ) of removing the slide windows first to fit new slider channels. De-varnish, bleach, prese...

Re: How might this have been made?
I had a four door Avenger years ago ( my own fault - I know ! ) and that had 'Mazak' door handles - the 'flap' style, and all four of these snapped off in my hand at different times.

Re: Wood filler
Thanks for the advice and the offer Ian - I have acquired some lengths of ash off an old pair of rear doors I bought for a replacement lock and handle and better glass, so I will be able to use these.
Kind regards, Howard

Re: Wood filler
Thanks bmcecosse. I haven't got any wood filler as yet. I was referring to the comprehensive write up on the sites 'bodywork' section that mentions Colron Liquid Resin which is suggested is mixed with sawdust for strength. I think in the write up, this is recommended for packing in where the waist r...

Wood filler
I have been following the very comprehensive advice on stripping / refurbishing and finishing traveller wood work ( which is very helpful ). The only thing I can't seem to find anywhere is : Colron Liquid Resin. Does anybody know if this is still available - and if it's labelled as just ' wood fille...

Re: Ignition
Thanks bmcecosse - It is a full Accuspark conversion kit ( dizzy / leads / coil etc. ) I have set it now at TDC and it has improved it more - but I still think I should do what you have done - slightly advance it til' it pinks and then drop it back a touch. Will try that next. Cheers.

Ignition
Have just fitted a full Accuspark conversion system and must admit it's a great improvement. However, in higher revs' going through 2nd / 3rd. gear I am getting the odd missed beat. Is it likely that the dizzy' needs advancing ?
